South African High Commissioner Confronted in London.
Nkosazana Zuma secretly snicked over fear of Ambush in London.
Youth say no to manufactured settlement.
By Free-Zim Youth
25th of April 2007
What promised to be an exclusive and elegant night for wining and dining, for the African Diplomatic core and members of highly influential African communities and Academics at South Africa High Commission ,hosted by the High Commissioner Dr. Lindiwe Mabuza Slowly matured, into a night of direct confrontational advocacy, for the revolutionary youth movement Free-Zim Youth.
True to their nature the radical ,youth movement was quick to seize the opportunity ,of a heaving presents of the African officials ,to sight the Africa Liberate Zimbabwe Campaign in exposing the hypocrisy and double standards adopted by the ANC Government in pushing for a "Manufactured Resolution" to the Zimbabwe question.
President Mbeki was appointment/mandated by the SADC extraordinary summit of heads of states and governments at the emergency sitting held in Dar es Salaam on the 28th and 29th of March 2007,to be an honest broker in fostering for a political resolution to the Zimbabwe woes..
One Key objective of the Protest was to call on The ANC Government and SADC TO BE TRANSPARENT
- Time frame of the SADC initiative to mediate in the crisis.
2. No exclusion of all stakeholders’ civil society in the talks and transitional process..
3. With less than 10 months before the Presidential and Parliamentary elections we demand that:
SADC should have Prerequisites/ conditions for any transitional platform:
· To Restore and Respect Social Justice.
· Repeal / rebuked all coercive repressive and oppressive legislature.
· SADC TROIKA should send a task force to Independently investigate and asses the situation on the ground according to the principals and protocols of the Mother body.
The concert which had a speech by South African foreign affairs minister Nkosazana Zuma who was secretly snicked inside the Embassy with fear of ambush by the youth.
The High Commission authorities showed no sympathy to the suffering of young Africans and the masses, by adopting a pre-Apartheid approach of trying to displace the youth sighting territorial grounds and humiliation to visitors.
As one of the stewards called the police he said " Free-Zim Youth gangsters are putting posters everywhere on our premises, written insulting messages can you please come and remove them".
This did not end there when one of the other steward said "you cant hand out fliers with ministers name's on them"
The undeterred militant group ,unfazed kept on chanting "ANC betrays black Zimbabwe" slogan and continued to distribute out anti-Nepad,Shame on Mbeki fliers to all delegates arriving.
Shorty the police arrived and proved the High Commission officials wrong,by dismissing their early claim that the youth had no democratic right or permission to demonstrate. In an interesting call by an police officer to his head office "Sgt we got Free-Zim Youth,Alois Mbawara ,Wellington Chibanguza,Chipo Chaya,Sam Takavarasha and Bridgette Maphosa and alot of them they have got banners, flags, mega phones, placards and in military gear what should we do Sgt? and the office replied " I repeat let them go,let them go they are militants", "but Sgt they have got banners and chanting ANC Betrays Black Zimbabweans? "i said let them go ahead they have permission."
"Alright you guys can go ahead".
This was received well by the youth who went on front of the Embassy door chanting slogans.
The youth shouted slogans for the whole 5 hour concert calling for transparency in resolving the Zimbabwean crisis to avoid a manufactured settlement.
In what proves to be an elusive action by Mbeki was the general comments from South African officials who come to talk to the protesters coming up with different opinions and we quote
" On the issue of elections we South Africa, had to follow what other observers said ,that elections were free and fair."
" Where are all Zimbabweans if the situation is that bad."
" You guys are not calling for something practical what do you what us to do ,why don't you call for sanctions."
One of the controversial statement come from one of white South African official who said" You are not happy to see black and white in South Africa living together."This angered the youth who felt it was out of context.
The tension at the Embassy showed no solidarity with the masses of Zimbabwe it was a shame to see high class delegates with flashy cars and clothes enjoying themselves while the masses of Africa are suffering.
To sent a clear message the youth strategically vanished from the seen to fool the enemy and later reappeared after the event, surrounded the Jaguar car which had High Commissioner Lindiwe Mabuza in a surprise Gorilla style ambush on the traffic lights as it left the Embassy.
The car was surrounded with placards and chanting ANC betrays black Zimbabweans the car was stopped constantly while the pseudo and bourgeois Mabuza covered her face with a hand bag as the young Africans who some where in-front and some at the back of the car stopped the car.
Zuma had not left the Embassy and was not seen when the youth left the scene at 11pm.Clearly showing she was wanted for humiliation by young Africans(imposed humiliation sanctions)
