The radical and confrontational, Militant pressure group Ambushed Angola ’s Embassy in London . As part of the Africa Liberate Zimbabwe campaign, ideologically built to expose the Hypocrisy and question the African leader’s credentials.
A group of 12 African youth from Zimbabwe and Ghana stormed in the Angola House demanding a clear formal confirmation on the denial that there will be no Angolan mercenaries to be deployed to Zimbabwe on the 1st of April. Following the security agreement signed by the Angolan home affairs Minister and Kembo Muhandi Zimbabwe ’s home affairs Minister with also Gen Roberto Leal Ramos Monteiro statement condemning the current uprising by the masses of Zimbabwe , clearly and openly on Zimbabwean police to be more ruthless.
There was drama inside the Embassy as the Ambassador refused to accept the “ Angola don’t send Mercenaries to Zimbabwe ” document sighting diplomatic channels to be used by the young Africans. In respond the youth vowed to expose the Ambassadors betrayal of the revolution by taking unwelcome sits in the Embassy, after the staged protest of chanting “Angola don’t send ninjas to Zimbabwe” and “Angola Hands of Zimbabwe” challenging solidarity to be with the African masses of Zimbabwe, not with the elite of ZANU PF.
Pressure mounted up for the Angolans as a protest erupted outside as well, that resulted in the staggered Ambassador to agree to meet Free-Zim Youth and official accept the document on behalf of the Angolan Government, openly assuring Youth that, there are no plans to send any Ninjas to Harare and dismissed the reports as mere speculation, this did not settle well with the youths as they noted that Angola has track record of denying in meddling send mercenaries to Ivory coast in 2003 and in DRC.
The youth demanded the ambassador and the Government of Angola to issue a formally response and statement on the current affairs, the officials reluctantly agreed, after the FZY, vowed to stage spontaneous demonstrations at the embassy. The Youth later presented a letter at the South African Embassy saying “We are watching”
Free-Zim Youth back ground statement
